Description
**Role Overview:** Northern Trust, a globally recognized financial institution, is seeking a skilled individual to join their team as an Azure Cloud Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance on various Public Cloud solution options, leading the Architecture and Design of Business solutions implemented on Microsoft Azure, and collaborating with different teams to ensure the best practices are reflected in the solution design and delivery. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the Architecture and Design of Business solutions implemented on Microsoft Azure - Provide guidance on various Public Cloud solution options, discuss benefits/risks, and offer recommendations aligned with strategic business needs - Offer thought leadership, recommendations, and roadmaps for large transformation and greenfield programs on Azure Public Cloud - Assess and recommend various cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) - Define and implement solution options to business problems, defining business value and benefits - Collaborate with application engineering, infrastructure products and services, and security teams to ensure requirements and best practices are reflected in the solution design and delivery - Provide architecture guidance based on the Azure Well-Architected Framework for building reliable, secure, and cost-effective workloads in Azure - Keep stakeholders informed about cloud capabilities and industry best practices - Mentor team on agile adoption, cloud architecture principles, use of AI automation, best practices, and emerging technologies **Qualifications Required:** - In-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines - Experience in leading small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements - Experience in working with Microsoft Azure and providing architecture guidance based on the Azure Well-Architected Framework - Strong communication skills to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus - Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, recognize challenges, and offer proactive solutions - Knowledge of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and their benefits and risks **Additional Details:** The Northern Trust Bangalore office, established in 2005, is home to over 5,600 employees.
