JOB TITLE: Senior Investigator Management Solutions (IMS) Specialist
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processes investigator payments by:
o Years of experience required: Three to five (3-5) years progressive financial experience, or equivalentcombination of education & experience.o Maintaining the investigator payment portion of the IMPACT System.o Inputting investigators budgets.o Reviewing data with project manager for quality and completeness.o Processing and creating approved grant payment requests via the IMPACT systemo and forwarding or interfacing these to A/P ando Distributing investigator payments to respective sites.
- Facilitates site payments with internal groups such as clinical operations, project management,
accounts payable, accounts receivable, and site contracts teams. Coordinates with regionalcolleagues to ensure holistic global view of project payment/funding status.
- Collaborates with accounts receivable and project management to ensure advance funding is
received from sponsors on a timely basis for global project needs and deposits are availablebefore site payments are processed.
- Creates, maintains, and reconciles MS Excel Project Grant Tracker as necessary.
- Reviews and interrogates Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) and CTA amendments to ensurepayments are made according to the documented payment terms and schedule. Discrepanciesshould be escalated to their line manager or the appropriate project team member as needed
Explains roles/responsibilities and coaches project teams through grants payment process and
system navigation, as needed.
- Provides forecasting and analysis support to project teams as needed.
- Reviews, assesses, finds resolution, and takes appropriate action when dealing with site paymentdisputes and issues.- Research, compiles, and creates necessary information as required in support of grantinvoicing.- Identifies and works with clinical team to follow up on invoice discrepancies, past due invoicesand to request refunds from sites.- Ensures proper account and project coding are applied to third party invoices as it relates toinvestigator payments.- Creates project reports as requested from sponsors, operations, accounting and/or uppermanagement to support Sunshine Act reporting, monthly close process and ad hoc financialanalysis.- Assists with customer audits of grant payments and deposits.- Trains and mentors less experienced staff members on departmental Standard OperatingProcedures (SOPs), processes, tools, and templates, and ensures quality of teamwork products.- Assists with coordinating Investigator Payment processes and Accounts Payable processes, andcompiling weekly check run data. Review and authorize payments in banking module, as needed.- Assists with documenting work instructions, policies, or procedures for Investigator PaymentSpecialists essential job functions. Maintains and updates training material for site contract team.- Acts as subject matter expert for system support, and resolves issues between the technicalsupport team and Project Managers.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
-B.com / M.com / MBA- Finance from Accounting, Finance
-Moderate experience in data management in a clinical research organization or related field.-Strong proficiency in using Excel for spreadsheet analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.Oracle experience preferred.-Foreign language proficiency preferred.-Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Aboveaverage attention to detail.- Effective presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approachYears of experience required: Three to five (3-5) years progressive financial experience, or equivalentcombination of education & experience.

Summary
JOB SUMMARY Independently administers complex, global, and/or specialized payments to investigators and institutions Participating in clinical trials in accordance with sponsor and company requirements. Works with internal teams to ensure appropriate funding prior to administering payments. Assists with payment forecasting, analysis and reporting. Provides functional guidance and keeps internal and external team members aware of site payment status and issues. Identifies project and/or individual site payment related problems and works with internal and external team members to provide and implement solutions. Trains and mentors less experienced staff and identify ways to improve internal project operations. Establishes strong working relationships with customers and internal project teams. May lead internal team education or process improvement initiatives.
