Sr. Engineer/Lead Engineer-Digitize ME Body

Role Overview: You will be a skilled engineer specializing in Body Tooling and Process Designing, responsible for performing virtual Bodyshop process validation through FEA analysis. Your role will involve utilizing CAD (Siemens NX) and FEA application (Hyper mesh & Ansa) to create simulation models. Additionally, you will be using Keysight (Visual Assembly & Assembly simulation) to enhance workflows through AI + NX Open & Python programming for automation and integration with external systems. Key Responsibilities: - Build Bodyshop process models including locating, clamping, and joining based on existing production processes. - Develop Panel and Assembly mesh using scan data and execute simulation models for different joining methods. - Perform Drill panel variations setup and analysis. - Analyze VBTAC report and simulate corrective steps to enhance dimensional results. - Develop solutions by iterating clamping and weld sequence to pass tooling 101 study. - Maintain and develop scripts using NX Open with Python for automating Siemens NX CAD workflows. - Integrate AI chatbots for interactive user input/output workflows within Siemens NX. - Customize NX environments to enhance productivity and user experience. - Automate repetitive tasks in CAD, manage assemblies, drafting, and part modeling. - Utilize OCR tools like OpenCV and Tesseract-OCR for extracting data from drawings or images. - Integrate NX with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and other external tools via APIs. - Ensure seamless integration of Siemens NX with PLM systems (Teamcenter) and external tools. Qualifications Required: - B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Production/Automobile/Industrial/Computer) - Minimum 6-12 years of experience in the automotive industry or equivalent field - Proficient in Sheetmetal joining tool design and Bodyshop process - Knowledge of Body dimensional measurement criteria and GD&T - Expertise in assemblies, drafting, and part file/data management - Experience in customizing NX workflows and managing NX entities - Proficiency in Python/C#/ .NET/VB.NET/C/C++/Java - Familiarity with Python libraries for NX Open and advanced OOPs concepts - Ability to streamline AI-powered solutions within Siemens NX automation processes - Familiarity with Git for version control Additional Company Details: General Motors envisions a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion.
