Sr Engineer- Windows device driver

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs to create cutting-edge products that exceed customer expectations. You will collaborate with various teams to design system-level software solutions and gather performance requirements and interfaces information. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software and applications - Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers to design system-level software solutions - Obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces for software development - Work on Windows Boot flow, Windows OS internals, Windows Driver knowledge (KMDF), and ARM Processor architecture - Develop Windows device drivers and debug with WinDbg, JTAG, and other tools - Utilize knowledge of PC software including System BIOS, UEFI, ACPI, drivers, and applications - Work on Embedded OS, Kernel architecture, OS services heap, memory, multi-core, multi-threading, and crash debugging - Perform OS/system performance profiling and optimization - Utilize coding skills in C and batch script for software development - Demonstrate effective communication, negotiation skills, and cross-functional working experience **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Software Engineering experience - OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of Software Engineering experience - OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field - 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - Strong knowledge of Windows Boot flow, Windows OS internals, Windows Driver knowledge (KMDF), ARM Processor architecture, and Assembly Language - Experience with PC software, Embedded OS, Qcom chipsets, and Windows platform development - Proficiency in C coding skills and batch script - Familiarity with OS/system performance profiling and optimization techniques Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
