Role Overview: As a Sr. Software Engineer focused on security, you will be responsible for the implementation of different security fixes and full stack implementation of a software technology stack to enable remote services. Your role will involve working on the development and maintenance of Vertiv's LIFE Services Cloud Platform, requiring knowledge of React.JS/Angular, .NET Core, web development, database, and messaging service technologies. You will collaborate with a software architect and other software engineers to design and develop the solution effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Take a leadership role in the design, development, debugging, and testing of the full stack software solution, owning system features throughout the implementation process. - Demonstrate a strong motivation to learn about software security aspects and support the implementation of security fixes to assigned products. - Actively participate in the design and specification process, ensuring project plans are viable and align with business objectives. - Ensure the user interface implementation follows human-centered design principles and branding standards. - Provide development and testing estimates based on engineering specifications and collaborate effectively in a team environment. - Manage and update work efforts as recorded in User Stories and tasks, developing prototypes to validate design ideas rapidly. - Adhere to coding standards, source control procedures, and documentation, developing reusable components for common functionality. - Assist in identifying and mitigating risks throughout the development lifecycle and provide continuous improvement ideas regarding coding standards and procedures. - Offer technical recommendations to product management, architecture, and fellow engineers, while also performing other duties as required. Qualifications Required: - BA, BSc, or MSc in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. - 5+ years of software development experience with a proven track record. - Experience with web application design and development principles, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and software design patterns. - Strong troubleshooting skills, experience with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), databases, RESTful web services, and IoT protocols. - Familiarity with Python, containerization (Docker), microservices, cloud development (Azure, AWS), and agile methodology is a plus. - Understanding of software security principles, web servers, and application servers, as well as knowledge of common security threats in web apps. - Proficiency in React front-end framework, .NET Core, MVC, C#, C++, SQL, and other related technologies. - Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills in English, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
