Description
As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, creating, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs to launch cutting-edge products that exceed customer expectations. You will collaborate with systems, hardware, and test engineers to design system-level software solutions and gather information on performance requirements and interfaces. Your responsibilities will include: - Applying Software knowledge and experience to design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs. - Analyzing user needs and software requirements to customize software for optimal operational efficiency. - Designing and implementing software modules for products and systems. - Participating in the design, coding, unit testing, debugging fixes, and integration efforts to ensure projects are completed to specifications and schedules. - Performing code reviews, regression tests, and triaging and fixing issues to maintain code quality. - Collaborating with project teams to achieve project objectives. - Writing technical documentation for Software projects. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or PhD in relevant field. - 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, 2+ years of experience with Database Management Software, 2+ years of experience with API, and 1+ year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System.
