Sr Engineer Mechanical Maintenance

The main purpose of this role is to support the company's production targets by efficiently managing workshop operations, providing timely mechanical services to relevant departments, and ensuring safe, reliable, and optimum availability of plant equipment through systematic maintenance practices and documentation. Key responsibilities include timely execution of workshop activities, coordinating with plant maintenance engineers to prioritize and complete workshop jobs aligned with plant operations, maintaining accurate equipment maintenance history in SAP, documenting LLF checklists and PSV testing reports, ensuring availability and updating of critical documents like Cause & Effect matrices, O&M manuals, data sheets, and control system drawings. In terms of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), the role requires strict adherence to safe maintenance practices, following Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, conducting regular toolbox talks with the workshop team, and promoting a culture of safety compliance and awareness within the team. The role also involves participating in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives, reviewing Preventive Maintenance (PM) task lists and SMPs, implementing and monitoring lubrication schedules, and recommending improvements for equipment performance and reliability. Additionally, the responsibilities include acting as a coordinator for internal and external audits, ensuring timely liquidation of audit findings and improvement actions. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of mechanical equipment used in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical plants, working knowledge of Cause & Effect Matrix and condition monitoring techniques, expertise in SAP PM and MM modules, strong documentation, troubleshooting, and coordination skills, and the ability to share knowledge and build technical capability within the team. Qualifications required for this role include a B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering, with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Maintenance, preferably in Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbon Processing, Petrochemical, or Chemical Industries.
