We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our Design department in Surat, Gujarat. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring the design team. The ideal candidate should possess proficiency in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD (2D & 3D), SolidWorks, Staad Pro, and Tekla. In addition, hands-on experience in nesting operations and PCL (Part Cutting List) is required. A strong understanding of structural and fabrication drawings, along with the ability to drive design efficiency, accuracy, and team coordination, is essential for this role. Key Roles & Responsibilities include leading the design team in creating detailed fabrication drawings and models, reviewing project specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality of all design deliverables, implementing efficient nesting processes, performing structural analysis, validating Tekla models, driving standardization and process improvement, providing guidance to junior engineers and draftsmen, ensuring timely submission of drawings, and communicating with clients, consultants, or vendors on design-related matters. Key Skills Required for this position include leadership and team management capabilities, a strong understanding of fabrication processes and structural design, knowledge of steel structures, sheet metal design, and welding symbols, and the ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask effectively. Technical Knowledge required comprises structural and fabrication drawing standards, steel grades, thicknesses, and fabrication tolerances, nesting logic, material optimization, part identification, PCL generation and validation, and BOM accuracy and coordination. IT & Software Skills essential for this role include proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), SolidWorks, Staad Pro, Tekla Structures, and preferred knowledge of Nesting Software such as SigmaNEST or Hypertherm ProNest, along with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Qualification & Experience: The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a design role within the fabrication industry.
