Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Production & Assembly Operations

Manage end-to-end
seat assembly processes
including cushion, trim, recliner, track, headrest, and complete seat build.
Ensure achievement of
daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
.
Line balancing and manpower optimization for seat assembly lines.
Monitor cycle time, takt time, and assembly efficiency.

Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with
customer quality standards
(OEM requirements).
Root cause analysis of assembly defects (Fitment, squeak & rattle, appearance).
Implement
Poka-Yoke, SOPs, and control plans
.
Coordinate with Quality team for audits and corrective actions.

Process Improvement

Drive
Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement
initiatives.
Reduce rejection, rework, and assembly losses.
Support new model launches, trials, and process stabilization.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to
EHS and safety norms
in assembly areas.
Conduct safety risk assessments and tool validations.
Maintain compliance with ISO / IATF systems.

Manpower & Coordination

Train operators on assembly methods and quality standards.
Coordinate with
Maintenance, PPC, Quality, and Logistics
teams.
Support skill development and multi-skilling of operators.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain production reports, downtime analysis, and efficiency data.
Prepare SOPs, work instructions, and process flow charts.
Participate in customer and internal audits.
