Were looking for an experienced Sr. Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in Linux systems, including kernel and user-space development, and deep knowledge of Wi-Fi and wireless technologies. Youll be part of a team developing and maintaining software for embedded devices used in complex networking environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software in C for Linux-based systems
- Work on both kernel-space and user-space components
- Integrate and enhance Linux wireless stack, focusing on Wi-Fi technologies
- Debug and optimize software for performance, stability, and reliability on embedded platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, QA, and product management
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and system architecture planning
- Support bring-up and maintenance of new embedded hardware platforms
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in C programming for embedded Linux environments
- Expert knowledge of Linux kernel development, device drivers, and system calls
- Experience with user-space development, including IPC mechanisms and daemons
- Solid understanding of wireless networking, especially Wi-Fi protocols and subsystems (mac80211, cfg80211, nl80211)
- Familiarity with debugging tools (e.g. gdb, strace, perf) and profiling performance bottlenecks
- Experience with Git, build systems (e.g. Make, CMake, Yocto or Buildroot), and CI tools
- Ability to analyze complex system issues and work independently Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
- Familiarity with wireless chipset SDKs (e.g. Qualcomm, MediaTek, Broadcom)
- Contributions to open-source Linux or wireless projects is a strong plus
- Experience working in an Agile development environment Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
