SR. DESIGN ENGINEER (GEOTECHNICAL)

As a Senior Design Engineer specializing in Geotechnical Engineering with Wet - Water & Effluent Treatment ICChennai, you will be responsible for various key tasks: - Strong academic background with a degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, along with 2 to 5 years of relevant design experience. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing foundation schemes like Open and Pile foundation, retaining walls (gravity type, precast), shoring systems, reinforced earth slopes, embankments & cuttings for waterfront structures, and pavements. - Proficiency in preparing Specifications, drawings, and BOQ is preferred. - Knowledge of ground investigation and ground improvement techniques will be an added advantage. - Analytical skills to evaluate complex problems and provide suitable solutions. - Familiarity with geotechnical analysis software such as PLAXIS 2D/3D, PLAXIS LE, MIDAS. - Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. - High level of numeracy and attention to detail ensuring accurate work. - Familiarity with IS code and IRC codes is preferred. - Capability to produce high-quality technical work including geotechnical analysis and design. - Openness to cross-skilling in another sub-discipline of Civil Engineering. - Willingness to undertake short-term travel assignments within India and overseas.
