Job Description

As an Data Engineer, you&aposll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data solutions on the Azure platform. Here are some common use cases and examples of tasks performed by Azure Data Engineers:Data Ingestion & Integration: Use tools like Azure Data Factory to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from sources such as databases, files, APIs, and streams into Azure.Data Transformation & Processing: Prepare data for analysis using platforms like Azure Databricks or Synapse Analytics with Apache Spark.Data Storage & Management: Choose appropriate storage solutionsAzure SQL Database or Cosmos DB for structured data, Data Lake Storage for big data, and Blob Storage for files.Data Warehousing: Implement scalable analytics with Azure Synapse Analytics for large datasets.Data Modeling & Analysis: Collaborate on data models using Azure Analysis Services or Databricks to support analytics.Real-time Processing: Use Azure Stream Analytics to process and analyze live data from sources like IoT or social media.Governance & Security: Ensure data security and compliance through access controls, encryption, monitoring, and retention policies.DevOps & Automation: Automate pipelines and deployments using Azure DevOps, Monitor, and Automation tools.Additional InformationAt Tietoevry, we believe in the power of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
