This role requires working from our local Hyderabad office 2-3x a week. INTRODUCTION: The Lead Database Oracle Administrator will be responsible for operational support for various on-premise databases running on Oracle Exadata Platforms, SQL server, MYSQL, PostgreSQL environments. The position requires Oracle database and SQL tuning expertise, through working knowledge of the Oracle Exadata and EXACC platform, experience working with Platinum support for Exadata/EXACC patching, and capacity planning, installation, integration, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, refreshes and backup/recovery. WHAT YOULL DO: Manage Oracle EXACC and Exadata environments, both on-premises and in OCI, coordinating with Platinum support and application owners for quarterly patching Administer databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) across on-premises and cloud environments (Azure, OCI), ensuring data integrity, availability, and optimal performance Tune SQL statements and conduct performance management to ensure databases run efficiently Design, install, configure, patch, and upgrade database servers and related software across environments Establish and maintain recovery and backup policies, including periodic disaster recovery testing Implement and manage database security, creating and maintaining users, roles, and privileges Monitor and maintain databases for performance, security, and capacity planning, optimizing resources and database performance Evaluate and recommend improvements to database features, products, and configurations Ensure compliance with database licensing and regulatory requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Maintain documentation and standards for database management procedures, ensuring compliance and operational consistency. Description Senior Platform Engineer Data Store (DWH + CMS + APIs) Experience : 10+ Years Location : Offshore Employment Type : Full-Time About the Role We are hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a unified Platform Data Store comprising data warehouse systems , content management , and API services . This role demands deep experience in backend engineering, data access patterns, and scalable platform design using tools like Snowflake , Databricks , Strapi , and Spring Boot with Java SDK 21 . Key Responsibilities Design and implement data ingestion and API layers integrating with Snowflake and Databricks for large-scale analytics and warehousing. Build and extend Strapi-based headless CMS for managing dynamic content modules. Develop RESTful backend services using Java SDK 21 and Spring Boot , exposing APIs for data and CMS interaction. Optimize database queries and storage models for performance, scalability, and reliability. Design robust data access layers and secure API endpoints for multi-tenant environments. Ensure proper integration between CMS, data warehouse, and API layers through well-defined contracts and schema definitions. Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and product teams to align platform features with business and operational goals. Apply best practices around schema evolution, metadata management, versioning, and access control. Core Skills & Experience 10+ years of software development experience with strong backend architecture and design expertise. Proficient in Spring Boot with Java SDK 21 and RESTful service design. Experience with Snowflake or Databricks for data warehousing, ETL/ELT patterns, and SQL tuning. Solid experience with Strapi or similar headless CMS platforms . Hands-on experience integrating CMS with external APIs and data sources. Strong understanding of data modeling , ORM , and scalable storage patterns. Knowledge of API authentication, RBAC, and secure data access mechanisms. Nice to Have Experience with GraphQL , Apache Airflow , or other data orchestration tools. Exposure to event-driven systems and messaging platforms (e. g. , Kafka). Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
