The SQL Developer will design, develop, and maintain database solutions in order to support business applications, reports, and data analytics. The role involves writing efficient SQL, optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver database driven solutions.
Translate business requirements into database design: schemas, tables, relationships, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers.
Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting, data analysis, and application use.
Develop, test, deploy, and maintain stored procedures, functions, and database scripts.
Perform performance tuningoptimize query execution, indexing strategy, partitioning, and other DB tuning tasks.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance issues, errors, and bottlenecks.
Ensure data quality, integrity, backup & recovery, security, and access controls in database systems.
Assist with or lead data migration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks.
Work with BI/Analytics teams to generate reports and dashboards; build adhoc queries as needed.
Maintain documentation of database structures, schemas, standards, and best practices.
Stay up to date with database technologies, SQL enhancements, tools, and industry trends.
