SCADA engineer is responsible for the preparation of the architecture of SCADA system, Finalize Communications methods and interface tools for the SCADA. Works with Global stakeholders and 3rd party vendors to come up with the best system solution for SCADA in Metals/Test benches and Mining domain. Essential Responsibilities 5 to 8 Years of experience to Carry out Intouch SCADA Projects for any Industry. Understanding Customer Requirements and produce Functional and design documents. Support ongoing project with strict timelines as per companys OTR process. Actively engage with project teams to provide solutions for the project that technically fit the purpose. Identify technical risks and put in place the mitigation plan for the same. Ensure strict compliance with all company and customers EHS policies and procedures. Identify and propose improvements in process, tools, system solutions and technologies, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership team. Foster relationship with other GE Vernova business entities to maximize the benefits of synergies. Liaise with other GE Vernovabusinesses, platform verticals, supply chain, sub-contractors and suppliers as appropriate to support the project and the business. Qualifications/Requirements Masters /Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation engineering. Technical Experience 5 to 8 years of experience in the following Significant Application development expertise in Intouch/ Intouch IAS (ArchestrA). Hands on experience in System design HMI server client configuration, Redundant server configuration, etc. Expertise in Historian, Alarm Management (Historical, SMS, Email, Voice). Report Generation Knowledge (Shift/ Batch/Day) with Backend SQL & MS Access. Strong background in HMI application development for Intouch products. Experience in back-end scripting (VBA Scripting knowledge, C, C++ knowledge), Interface with database such as SQL, MS Access etc. SCADA development and Commissioning autonomously in any Process industry. Demonstrated experience in the development and application of virtual machines in a Microsoft Windows operating environment. Demonstrated experience in the HMI application development including cyber protection requirements. Strong computer skills: experience in setting up Windows applications such as Windows 10 and above proficiency in standard MS Office applications. Expertise in Driver development/OCX/DLL development and integration. Experience in working with web-based application development. Experience in working with IOT/Thin Clients/ESXi. Personal Qualities Capable of Working in a multi-disciplined international team with good personal organisation skills. Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict time scales. Excellent communication and report writing skills. French /German Language skills is desirable Circumstances Willing to travel on short notice within base country and overseas for short/long term assignments. Summary As a key member of a global and matrixed design team, the HMI engineer is responsible for the architecture of the next Generation HMI, Finalize Communications methods and interface tools for the HMI. Works with Global stakeholders and 3rd party HMI vendors to come up with the best system solution for HMI . The engineer crafts HMI architectures designed for robustness, safety, quality and ease of configuration management throughout the lifecycle of the product. Essential Responsibilities As Lead HMI Engineer you are responsible for: Designing and implementing Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens for but not limited to power management systems, Process controls based on IEC 61850 standards for Next Generation Control Systems. Responsible and will take the lead role for Next generation HMI screens for HMI software packages such as Iconics and PCVue complying with GE Standards. Work on HMI applications development to meet the customer needs and upcoming cyber requirements. Designing, implementing, and supporting industrial communication networks for control system applications. Supporting Engineering Services field personnel in the technical resolution of field problems. Providing assistance with quality assurance on projects. Desired Characteristics: Demonstrated experience working with industrial network communication protocols such as OPCUA/DA,IEC 61850, Modbus, TCP/IP, Profibus etc. Experience in configuring interface drivers such as Matrikon drivers will be added advantage. Strong computer skills: experience setting up Windows based applications such as Windows 10 and above proficiency in standard MS Office applications. Technical skills in HMI design engineering, commissioning experience is added advantage. Proven team player with solid cooperation, flexibility and demonstrated capacity to learn complex information quickly. Strong in scripting, visualization, optimization, experience in multiple HMI platforms. Experience in using Confluence/Jira, product development life cycle. Should be able to produce Road maps and planning. Field experience in related equipment. Good oral and written communication skills. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors /Masters Degree in relevant engineering or equivalent knowledge / experience with 12 + Years of Experience. Significant software development experience for HMI like Iconics, PCvue, Ifix, Cimplicity.
