As a Transport Planner at Arcadis, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of transport planning services. This includes developing multimodal transport strategies, future mobility planning (such as EVs and alternative fuels), providing business case and funding bid support, conducting multimodal and junction modeling, pedestrian and active travel planning, feasibility studies, concept design, transport inputs to master planning and planning applications, behavior change, and sustainable travel strategies, as well as local operational modeling and transport assessments. Key Responsibilities: - Experience in transport modeling (e.g., highways, public transport, multimodal) - Knowledge of strategic model development and application - Proficiency in tools like VISUM, VISSIM, SATURN, CUBE, operational modeling tools (e.g., LINSIG, SYNCHRO, AIMSUN) - Strong skills in data analysis, spreadsheet modeling, and GIS - Ability to contribute to technical reports and client communication - Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills - Proactive, motivated approach with a willingness to learn and collaborate Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with DfTs Transport Appraisal Guidance (TAG) - Exposure to working with public sector clients or developers (e.g., HS2, National Highways, DfT) - Interest or experience in Python coding or data analysis Qualifications and Experience: - Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Mathematics, or Data Science) - Working towards or interested in professional qualification (CIHT, ICE, RTPI) At Arcadis, we believe in empowering our employees to be their best.
