As a Senior Data Engineer at EY's GDS Assurance Digital, your mission is to develop, implement, and integrate technology solutions that better serve audit clients and engagement teams. You will have the opportunity to develop a deep audit-related technical knowledge and outstanding database, data analytics, and programming skills. The role involves working side-by-side with the firm's partners, clients, and audit technical subject matter experts to develop and incorporate technology solutions that enhance value-add, improve efficiencies, and enable clients with disruptive and market-leading tools supporting Assurance. You will be part of a team that provides solution architecture, application development, testing, and maintenance support to the global Assurance service line. Key Responsibilities: - Gathering, organizing, and analyzing data to meet ever-increasing regulations - Working on Microsoft technology-based projects for customers globally - Utilizing SQL, NoSQL databases such as HBase/Cassandra/MongoDB, and Big Data querying tools like Pig and Hive - Implementing ETL processes using tools like Alteryx or Azure Data Factory - Experience in NiFi and reporting tools like Power BI/Tableau/Spotfire - Understanding complex concepts and using technology for data modeling, analysis, visualization, or process automation - Working within a multi-disciplinary team structure and independently - Demonstrating analytical and systematic problem-solving skills - Communicating technical information effectively to diverse audiences - Planning, scheduling, and monitoring work activities to meet targets - Absorbing new technical information and applying it effectively - Maintaining client relationships, business development, and software development best practices Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance, or related field - 6 to 9 years of industry experience - Strong technical skills including SQL, NoSQL databases, Big Data querying tools, ETL implementation, NiFi, and reporting tools - Analytical and decision-making capabilities - Strong customer focus, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Join EY in building a better working world, creating long-term value for clients, people, and society, and fostering trust in the capital markets.
