As a Sports Copywriter for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, you will be responsible for creating engaging and impactful content that resonates with fans and captures the essence of sports culture. If you are passionate about sports, have a knack for witty writing, and can adapt your tone to connect with different audiences, this role is perfect for you. Key Responsibilities: - Write compelling copy for RCB's social media platforms, including captions, hooks, punchlines, and real-time match updates. - Develop emotionally aware content that reflects fan sentiments and generates excitement around players, matches, rivalries, and key sports moments. - Stay updated on Twitter/X culture, meme trends, and fan discussions to ensure your writing is timely, witty, and culturally relevant. - Transition smoothly between Gen Z, Millennial, emotional, informative, and brand-appropriate tones based on the context. - Uphold RCB's unique voice while infusing freshness, cultural significance, and a fan-centric approach into your writing. - Generate concepts, scripts, and ideas for short videos, skits, and YouTube content. - Thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering quick and high-quality content during matchdays and other high-pressure situations. - Keep abreast of sports trends, meme styles, and digital content strategies employed by leading global sports teams to maintain a high standard of writing. - Collaborate closely with designers, editors, and the social media team to bring creative ideas to life. - Contribute to off-season content related to Indian cricket, major sports events, global football culture, and other relevant sports narratives. Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a sports copywriter for a team, franchise, league, or tournament. - Demonstrated ability to craft witty sports content under real-time pressures. - Strong grasp of sports culture, fan emotions, rivalries, narratives, and hype cycles. - Proficiency in adapting your writing style to cater to different audience segments like Gen Z, Millennials, and emotional or conversational tones. - Hands-on experience in writing for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and YouTube, particularly for sports content. - Proficiency in creating engaging hooks, punchlines, scripts, captions, and quick reaction lines with clarity and creativity. - Deep understanding of internet culture, memes, formats, and platform-specific behaviors. - Familiarity with global sports content, including football clubs, global tournaments, and the ability to meet international creative standards. - Knowledge of AI tools for writing and research will be an added advantage. - Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with a diverse team of designers, editors, and social media professionals. - Strong command of written English; fluency in Hindi or Kannada is a bonus.,
