We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for machine design and hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing special purpose machines (SPMs), and a solid foundation in mechanical principles, load analysis, and component selection. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for special purpose machines (SPMs) Perform structural load calculations, torque calculations, and motor & gearbox sizing Collaborate with manufacturing teams and participate in shop floor activities Create 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks Participate in client inspections and meetings (including overseas clients) Ensure designs comply with performance, safety, and quality standards Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical design (preferably in SPMs) Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling and drafting) Knowledge of structural calculations, drive selection, and mechanical component sizing Manufacturing/shop floor exposure is essential Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal Candidates must be willing to work onsite at our Navi Mumbai office (WFH is not applicable)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY: Conduct comprehensive verification of operator work against established process plans for welding, heat treatment, and thermal spray operations and likewise on aerospace components. Ensure operators utilize correct process parameters, machine programs, and tooling as specified in engineering documentation for each manufacturing step. Oversee and verify accurate recording of critical process data, including program versions, machine settings, and material traceability information. Confirm achieved dimensions, surface finishes, and other critical characteristics comply with engineering drawings, manuals, and quality standards. Identify and document any deviations or non-conformances from established procedures, escalating issues as required. Ensure all verification activities and process outputs meet stringent aerospace industry quality and regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100). SKILLS / COMPETENCE: Must have: 5 - 7 Years of experience in repair process engineering A good team player, people leader who can work well under pressure or in stressful and demanding situations or environments. Well aware of Aircraft /Aero Engine components and functional details along with their operation procedures. Hands on experience on various repair processes (e.g Machining, Thermal spray coating/plating, Welding, Heat Treatment, Etching, NDT & Cleaning) & Engineering drawings. Thorough understanding of Engine Manuals, SPMs and Repair processes Having good knowledge on GD&T and ASME Y14.5 1994 standards. Job Summary: The Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Level III is a senior-level role responsible for troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical systems, including CNC, VMC, HMC, SPM, gantry, and robotic systems in a high-performance machine shop environment. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports continuous improvement activities, maintains safety and housekeeping standards, and coaches junior team members. The technician will independently handle complex maintenance tasks and lead projects related to preventive maintenance and safety systems implementation. Key Responsibilities: Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE): Comply with all HSE standards, procedures, and regulations. Use appropriate PPE and ensure safe work practices including LOTO and risk assessments. Stop work immediately and report hazards, injuries, or unsafe practices. Participate in HSE training and promote safety interdependence. Drive initiatives to reduce environmental impact in maintenance operations. Quality & Reliability: Perform all work per quality standards and follow operation manuals, sketches, and technical documentation. Conduct quality inspections and troubleshoot machine-related quality issues. Maintain and improve MTBF/MTTR metrics and support failure analysis for downtime reduction. Contribute to preventive maintenance system improvements and feedback loops. Maintenance Operations: Independently conduct preventive, corrective, emergency, and predictive maintenance. Continuous Improvement & TPM: Actively participate in TPM and continuous improvement activities. Identify and resolve manufacturing constraints; contribute to cost-saving initiatives. Drive housekeeping, equipment cleanliness, and workplace organization. Skills & Knowledge: Deep understanding of CNCs (VMC, HMC), SPMs, robotic and gantry systems. Practical experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Familiarity with TPM, 5S, LOTO, RCA, and safety systems implementation. Strong computer literacy and ability to generate maintenance reports. An analytical, problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to operations. Team-oriented with strong communication and leadership skills. Experience : Minimum: 5-6 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a machine shop or similar environment. Specialization: Experience in handling machine shop maintenance, especially on CNC equipment, interfacing systems, and automation controls.
