As a Restaurant Bartender at The Seahaus Hotel, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional drinking and dining experiences at the bar. You must possess the ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate effectively. With extensive spirits knowledge, you will have an inspired understanding of how different flavors balance each other in cocktails. Your main duties will include producing all cocktails and beer for the dining room and bar while remaining attentive and hospitable to the guests. Your responsibilities will include observing customers as they enter the bar area, greeting them promptly, and ensuring they are seated in a friendly manner. You will present drink menus, make recommendations, and take beverage orders from guests and servers. It will be your responsibility to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes. Additionally, you will be expected to upsell drink specials and food items as directed by management. You will need to execute wine service when necessary and check in regularly with every guest to ensure satisfaction with food and drinks. Clear communication of allergy and dietary restriction information on tickets is crucial. Maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the bar, assisting in restocking and replenishing bar inventory, and promoting a positive teamwork attitude with all co-workers are also key aspects of the role. To qualify for this position, you must maintain an applicable Kansas License, be 21 years of age or above, and possess an outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong communication skills. Comprehensive knowledge of wine and beverage brand selections, drink garnishes, pricing, and standardized recipes for classic and contemporary cocktails is essential. Previous bartending, serving, and/or customer service experience is preferred. You must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods, reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds. Closed-toe, non-canvas, and non-skid soled shoes are required as part of the personal protective equipment.
