Initially the role will manage a project to source new products, new suppliers including validation, contractual negotiation and supply transition management. Assist and guide other Buyer members of every Business Division across the organization of his commodity Develop and implement Purchase strategies covering all products and services commodities and supplier processes throughout a global enterprise to deliver maximum value, leverage, and standardization, in order to achieve OCS goals. Working as part of the Global Competitiveness and Strategic Procurement team liaising closely with the local Purchase Team of every Business Division. Tender management, RFIs, RFQs and E-Sourcing Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with the quality team, users, vendors and others to determine the root cause of problem and take corrective and preventive action; Assist the BU's in any supplier issue or blocage Start the escalation process inside of PUR organization in case of any supplier issue with impact in the BU's operations. Identify and suggest training opportunities; Sourcing of appropriate vendors in the supply of products for the Company Prepare all the info for Pre-SPIC presentation according the Procedures Provide all the requested data inputs updates on the FULLSTEP Platform. Assure the correct execution of the decisions approved by Pre-SPIC and SPIC. Additional in case CAPEX: Key member of Capex Leadership team, responsible for developing, improving and implementing strategies into Project Execution and making recommendations to improve Sourcing Categories. Responsible for capital spending and improving the value. Lead the budgeting and planning process to develop goals and continuously improve value delivery. Lead project planning sessions to thoroughly understand BU/Project requirements, technical & commercial background information & sourcing support needs. Participate in Project reviews, project close-outs and other industry/benchmarking discussions. Develop, improve, and ensure use of processes and systems including; Procurement Deliverables, Procurement Plans, Contracting Strategies, Contract Templates, Negotiation Templates, Capex Tracker, Value Tracker, Capex Database, Bid Templates, Instruction to Bidders, Quality, Transportation, Training Documentation. Lead procurement plans for the projects, have procurement plans documented and define procurement staffing requirements (tactical & operational) for the project portfolio. Lead development of the negotiation strategy for the different bid packages, guarantee Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach; coach the project buyers to maximize value of negotiation process. Facilitate cross BU/Country sourcing events and the implementation of projects. Drive compliance with select suppliers. Implement CAPEX sourcing policies and procedures. Accountable for performance management, talent development, succession planning and engagement of the procurement team. Accountable for setting and managing the budget of the procurement team. Supervise on behalf of the project team the proper execution of the major contracts during the full life cycle of each project. Guarantee availability of the procurement staff. Lead internal or external recruitment of the required project buyers. Set objectives and communicate to procurement staff. Responsible for aligning overall team resources to execute against short term and longer-term strategies and meeting strategic sourcing and project/BU objectives. Job Summary: The Engine Field Service Technician - Level III acts as the technical expert and primary contact for diagnosing and repairing advanced issues in Cummins engine systems at customer sites. This role combines hands-on technical repair work, customer support, mentoring of junior technicians, and proactive identification of service opportunities. The technician ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while delivering exceptional service performance in the field. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and execute complex repairs on Cummins engine products at customer locations using specialized tools and software. Perform scheduled and emergency preventive maintenance on engines and related systems per Cummins service standards. Develop strong relationships with customers, ensuring prompt, professional service and follow-up. Use Cummins electronic service tools and guided workflows to accurately troubleshoot and validate repair resolutions. Escalate unresolved or critical issues to product specialists or supervisors while documenting all troubleshooting steps. Provide mentorship and technical coaching to junior technicians and apprentices; review repair plans, tooling, and part lists. Maintain proper documentation including timesheets, service reports, warranty claims, and system records through Cummins business systems. Identify and report new service or product opportunities while onsite with customers. Ensure cleanliness, readiness, and functionality of service vehicle and tools. Adhere to all Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards; actively report incidents or unsafe conditions. Skills: Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of engine components, fault diagnosis, and mechanical/electrical system interactions. Proficient in Cummins diagnostic tools and systems (e.g., DETC, SPART, SPIC). Familiarity with railway equipment and multiple engine applications. Ability to interpret service manuals, logic diagrams, and wiring schematics. Communication & Customer Service: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer handling and relationship management skills. Operational & Documentation Proficiency: Skilled in completing service documentation, warranty claims, and using service management systems. Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite and digital tools for reporting and data entry. Other : Field-based role; travel required to customer locations within the region. Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours depending on service needs. Must maintain compliance with all company, legal, and environmental policies. Expertise on Tower Wagon, DEMU, Track Machine, Power Car Applications. Good in Communication. Expertise in Troubleshooting beyond the Engine. Expertise on Railways Equipment. Experience Required: Significant hands-on field service experience in diesel engine systems. Expert-level technical knowledge of Cummins engines and systems. Experience diagnosing complex engine faults and using service diagnostic software. Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service in field-based roles. Previous experience coaching junior technicians or leading small teams (preferred).
