Role & responsibilities : Full job description Job Title: Sr. Service Manager Department: Customer Service / After-Sales / Service Operations/Installation Activity Location: Talawade, Pune. Company: S P ENGINEERS Main Function of the Job To coordinate and manage all service & installation related activities , including scheduling service visits, handling customer complaints, ensuring timely resolutions, and supporting the service team for smooth operations. Key Responsibilities / Scope of Work Coordinate with customers to schedule service visits, installations, and breakdown support . Assign service tasks to field technicians or engineers and ensure timely job completion. Maintain and update service logs, reports, and customer records . Act as the primary point of contact between customers and the service team. Track and follow up on open service requests, pending parts, or unresolved issues . Ensure timely communication and documentation of all service-related updates. Handle customer complaints and escalate issues when needed to ensure resolution. Coordinate with Design, Production, Store and Purchase Dept. for spares parts or materials for timely availability. Prepare and share service performance reports with management. Support warranty and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) service tracking. For each site budget operation, set up a spending plan and supervise field operations in order to make sure that expenditures stay (Travelling Expenses) within the allotted funds or Budgets. Budget Management : Managing the budget for the service department, tracking expenses, and forecasting costs. Compliance : Ensuring that service delivery complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Reporting: Preparing reports on service performance, customer feedback, and budgetary information for senior management. Collaboration: Working with other departments, such as sales and product teams, to enhance the overall customer experience. Role & responsibilities : 1. Program VMCs using CAM software based on engineering drawings and specifications. 2. Part setting and programming in 2D & 3D. 3. Post a 3D program through software to the machine. 4. Set controls and regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, and angle of cut. 5. Machine Setup: Prepare the VMC machine for operation by installing and aligning workpieces, tooling, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and job specifications. 6. Conduct tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and accuracy 7. Operation: Operate VMC machines to perform milling, drilling, tapping, and other machining operations to produce parts with precision and accuracy. 8. Monitoring: Monitor machine operations during the production process to ensure adherence to quality standards, making necessary adjustments to tooling and machine settings as required. 9. Inspection: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometres, callipers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications. 10. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on VMC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components to ensure optimal performance and longevity. 11. Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures. 12. Documentation: Record production data, including machine settings, tooling changes, and quality inspection results, accurately and in a timely manner. 13. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues that may arise during the machining process, such as tool wear, material deformation, or machine malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. 14. Train and mentor junior machinists as needed. 15. Support company production requirements at all times. 16. Programmer must have experience and knowledge of Delcam Powermill software.
