What You Will Do You will work with the GT-SUITE development and product teams to deliver top-quality software to our users. Throughout the software development lifecycle, you will create, document, maintain, and perform manual tests to ensure minimal shipped defects and timely fixes due to ongoing development. When appropriate, managing automated tests will also ensure high-quality software, however, manual testing is expected to be the primary responsibility. Functional, integration, and acceptance testing will be a key part of the job. The role will involve both UI/UX aspects and physics (solver) aspects of GT-SUITE. Ensure that released software meets desired high-quality standards Verify UX features are implemented correctly (e.g. dialogs display correct data, workflows are correct, etc.) Verify physics features are implemented correctly (e.g. correct equations, various permutations of inputs, etc.) Carry out regular full regression testing of the user-interface Maintain user interface software tests to ensure full coverage of the software as features are updated Solicit information from the development and product teams to add new tests as required by new developments made to the software If issues are found in the software, log the items in Gammas development database and follow up with developers to test once fixed Help determine when issues were introduced into the software Monitor automated tests and take action to resolve issues when they are flagged What You Will Bring Bachelors degree in Engineering with a desired GPA of 8.75/10 or higher Minimum of 5 years of proficiency with Software Testing / QA methodology, process, and deliverables Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation Experience with Microsoft Office products Experience using Linux Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills: Familiarity with model compilers (Visual Studio or GCC) Familiarity with Co-simulation and Software-in-the-Loop applications (e.g. FMI, XCP) Exposure to Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems, such as dSpace, NI, Concurrent, and Speedgoat Certification in software testing Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, for building and deploying software packages Experience with enterprise-level CAE applications like GT-SUITE What we Can Offer You Dynamic and highly talented team of experts. You have a great opportunity to join our team as a Test Engineer with 6-9 years of experience in test engineering. In this role, you will be working in product-based environments, focusing on electrical-electronics-based modules, system, and product level testing. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting V&V in product-based environments, specifically with UPS products, batteries, chargers, power electronics, automated control-based systems, and communication protocols. - Generating high-level test conditions/use case scenarios, detailed test cases, scripts, and maintaining them in tools like Gitlab, Testmo, Rally, JIRA, or equivalent tools. - Planning test environments/setups and creating test setups for testing with hardware environment. - Preparing Test Reports & Summary reports, reporting project status, challenges, and risks to leads. - Reviewing product requirements and design specifications to ensure alignment with product/software development and test plans. - Driving test automation, independent verification, and validation of electronic/electrical systems/subsystems/products. - Developing and advocating test strategy and test platforms across diversified business segments. - Having hands-on experience with AC/DC low and high voltage embedded-electrical systems, including UPS, power supplies, AC/DC Converters, chargers, batteries. - Exposure to standard engineering tools for requirement management and analysis, test management, defect tracking tools, and configuration management. - Basic working knowledge in power/electrical engineering, including AC and DC power <20kVA circuits, microprocessor, microcontroller, sensor interfacing, firmware interfacing, DC batteries, connectors/wire-harnesses. - Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, SLDs, and component identification. - Operating in an electrical testing lab environment safely and successfully. - Working within matrixed environments and having a good understanding of product development life cycle, NPDI, NPD processes. - Strong problem-solving, engineering troubleshooting, and analytical skills, capable of solving technical issues with minimal monitoring/guidance. - Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills. - Multitasking and effective collaboration with cross-functional global development teams. - Experience in UPS and power electronics development/engineering is preferred. - Experience in XIL based testing (Model in Loop - MIL, Software in Loop - SIL, and Hardware in Loop) using industry platforms like Vector, Speedgoat, dBase will be an added advantage. - ISTQB certification is a plus.
