As a Lab Technician for Materials at Tata Electronics Pvt. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in the analysis and testing of samples and materials in our state-of-the-art laboratory. You will be responsible for various tasks including sample handling, testing, equipment maintenance, data recording, safety compliance, reporting, experimentation, troubleshooting, and supplies management. Your attention to detail, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills will be essential in contributing to the success of our team. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, labeling, and analyzing samples, designing and executing laboratory tests, setting up and maintaining laboratory equipment, accurately documenting data and findings, ensuring safety compliance, preparing reports, conducting controlled experiments, troubleshooting equipment issues, and managing laboratory supplies. Your in-depth knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures, proficiency in operating technical instruments and relevant software, and strong eye-hand coordination will be critical in performing these tasks effectively. To excel in this role, you should possess expertise in materials testing, including polymers, rubber, and metals, as well as proficiency in analytical techniques such as Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Rheology, Wet chemical analysis, Spectroscopy (FTIR, Optical Emission Spectroscopy), metallurgical sample preparation and analysis, optical microscopy, hardness and tensile testing methods. Your experience level of at least 2 years in material testing and characterization labs, along with a background in material science engineering or related fields, will be advantageous.
