Specialist Software Engineer - Python Spark

Role Overview: As a Python Developer with experience in Spark and SQL, you will play a crucial role in supporting applications running in production. Your responsibilities will include technical deliveries, development in Python with libraries like Polars, NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib, and ensuring the performance and code quality of the applications. Additionally, you will participate in the design, architecture, and development of high-quality code, while also contributing to agile practices as a valuable team player. Key Responsibilities: - Support applications running in production with Python skillset - Responsible for technical deliveries from Python/Spark and SQL point of view - Strong experience in Spark with Python - Development in Python using libraries like Polars, NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib - Experience in database technologies such as Databricks and Teradata - Basic understanding of Unix file system - Working experience on Cloud platforms, preferably with AWS - Understanding of Data warehousing skills - Participate in the design, architecture, and development of high-quality code - Ensure code quality and performance adherence to relevant best practices - Familiarity with Agile practices, scrum, and agile methodologies Qualifications Required: - 6 years of relevant experience in Python, Spark, Java, AWS, and SQL Technologies - B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.S. in Computer Sciences and/or Information Technology - Strong experience in Spark with Python - Development experience in Python using libraries like Polars, NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib - Good experience with database technologies, preferably Databricks and Teradata - Experience with Java will be an added advantage - Basic understanding of the Unix file system - Experience working on Cloud platforms, preferably with AWS - Understanding of Data warehousing skills - Familiarity with Agile practices, scrum, and agile methodologies - A good team player Additional Details: The company, Socit Gnrale, believes in the power of people as drivers of change.
