Specialist Software Engineer Industrial IoT

As a Software Engineer for the Industrial IoT team, you will be instrumental in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our IoT platform, which is crucial for modernizing industrial systems. Working alongside developers and technical specialists, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our industrial network by leveraging modern technologies and integrating IoT with enterprise systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Contribute to the design, software development, deployment, and maintenance of the industrial IoT platform. - Develop new features for the IoT platform to support business use cases and goals, while integrating the platform with new data sources. - Follow best practices for system integration, data integrity, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance to develop scalable and modular software solutions. - Support modernization and digital transformation by developing and maintaining IoT applications and interfaces. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IoT solutions meet user needs and strategic goals. - Participate in all phases of project teams, including design, build, test, deployment, and support. - Assist in requirements gathering, solution development, design, software development, and system qualification under the guidance of a lead engineer. - Engage in continuous learning and contribute to a culture of innovation and improvement. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating complex challenges to senior engineers as needed. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - Practical exposure to IoT platforms, industrial automation systems, and automation protocols such as Ethernet IP, OPC UA, MQTT. - Hands-on experience with Java, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and hybrid (edge/cloud) IoT architectures. - Experience with AWS IoT core/Greengrass or similar technology. - Familiarity with timeseries databases such as InfluxDB, TimescaleDB.
