Job Description

You will be responsible for maintaining financial reporting integrity by reviewing all data in financial reports for accuracy and completeness. This includes performing trial balance and general ledger reviews to ensure appropriate accounting and statements in books. You will collaborate with the IFRS reporting team to address past-quarter group queries and prevent recurring issues. Additionally, you will conduct quarterly analysis of balance movements and variances, identifying business reasons for fluctuations. Working closely with stakeholders from Country finance, Business finance, and Group Finance teams, you will manage expectations and ensure compliance with governance requirements such as process metrics review, service review calls, and BCP. You will also coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide timely information and support. Your role will involve building a strong functional and business knowledge within the teams, with a focus on TP systems and clearing TPGL exceptions. You will collaborate with the R2R controllers Country Lead/Unit Head to manage the Financial Controls & Risk function, establish financial control policies, and monitor compliance measures to ensure a robust financial control environment in the Bank. In alignment with the R2R Controllership Model, you will contribute to improving external and internal GIA audit grades and sign off on financial control measures for new projects. Your responsibilities will also include supporting day-to-day controls, monitoring activities, and reporting significant risks and losses promptly. In terms of governance, you will provide quality and accurate inputs for various risk forums and ensure timely resolution of risk items. You will work closely with Country Finance, Business Finance, Operational Teams, and other GFS teams to maintain smooth business as usual operations. Key Skills and Experience required for this role include proficiency in SAP, PSGL, transaction processing systems, and MS Excel/Word/PPT. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of work experience in financial control, operational risk functions, internal audit of FIs, or external audit from Big 4 firms, or over 2 years of experience in the FA domain. A CA/CWA qualification is preferred, along with exposure to SAP, PSGL, and TPGL modules.
