Specialist - Mechanical Design

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: - Having hands-on experience in designing sheet metal, plastics, and casting components, and possessing expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). - Demonstrating a strong command over CAD tools like SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo for 3D modeling and creating detailed drawings. - Implementing changes in 3D CAD models, 2D Drawings, service Bill of Materials (BOM), Technical Data Sheets (TDS), etc., while adhering to ISO processes for revision and document control. - Being proficient in performing tolerance stack-up, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and developing manufacturing drawings that comply with industry standards. - Having exposure to Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including structural, modal, and thermal analysis, and collaborating effectively with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) teams for validation purposes. - Understanding various prototyping methods such as 3D printing, sheet metal forming, and machining, and successfully transitioning from prototype to mass production. - Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including electronics, testing, and manufacturing, to ensure smooth integration of mechanical design with the overall product. - Resolving production issues by conducting root cause analysis and suggesting cost-effective design enhancements.
