Job Summary Purpose: Design, build, and deliver technology, platforms, and systems solutions to address business and technical requirements, leveraging standard principles and patterns. Focused on designing , building and advanced troubleshooting of network cyber security services including firewalls (enterprise and cloud), remote access, internet security, load balancers, DNS, web application firewalls, intrusion prevention and network access control. Job Description Provides subject matter expertise to platform and system design, development, and implementation Designs and configures technologies to meet security, customer and operational requirements Provides subject matter expertise and leadership of threat assessment, system analysis, and engineering, contributing to integrated design, development, and implementation Identifies and makes appropriate changes to technologies, platforms, and systems to meet customer and operational requirements Continuously seeks to more efficiently manage and utilize technology Highlights design risks, provides alternative options, and recommends quality solutions to meet specified business outcomes Follows industry, organization, and best practices to maximize quality and efficiency Additional Functions Configures and deploys new hardware-based and software-based security tools that provide network and endpoint security Provides new capabilities through implementation of open-source applications and development of automation scripts Tunes and optimizes existing systems to minimize external threats and meet internal needs, balancing security and operations Collaborates with Information Security stakeholders to improve prevention, detection and response Support network and security related activities for acquisitions / divestitures Proven experience in a network engineering /architecture role Ability to identify, analyze and resolve complex problems systematically Ability to work independently and as part of a team Qualifications: Bachelors or Associates degree from an accredited institution Preferred qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering is preferred Overall 10+ years of exp with 7+ years of relevant exp Skills: Technical knowledge: Firewall configuration, deployment and management TCP/IP networking Remote computing Intrusion Detection / Prevention / WAF systems Linux/Unix administration Domain Name System administration Internet security administration Scripting / process automation Cloud networking and security Soft skills: Excellent proficiency with the English language (written and verbal). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Specialized skills: Check Point and cloud firewalls, Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZTDS), F5, BIND DNS, Scripting and API programming
