Job Summary:

Responsible for assessing, supporting, and teaching students with special needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional development through individualized education plans and inclusive practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess students learning needs and create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Develop and deliver specialized teaching strategies and interventions.
Support students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or behavioral challenges.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and school counselors to ensure inclusive learning.
Monitor and document student progress regularly.
Conduct workshops and awareness sessions for staff and parents on inclusive education.
Advocate for the needs of students and promote an inclusive school environment.
Stay updated on best practices, techniques, and resources in special education.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Special Education (B.Ed. Special Education, M.Ed. Special Education, or equivalent).
Certification in Learning Disabilities, Autism, or related fields is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a school or educational setting supporting children with special needs.

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and special education needs.
Patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to create individualized learning plans and monitor progress effectively.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Creative and adaptable in teaching approaches.
