As a Senior Geospatial Technology Engineer at our organization, you will play a key role in technology, data, analytics, engineering, and science solutions related to location. You will be an integral part of the Geospatial team within the Oil and Gas Technology sector, working with cutting-edge technologies and their practical applications. Collaboration with Geospatial Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Digital Product teams, and business partners will be essential to deploy and enhance Geospatial technology, data, and analytical solutions across various domains such as Production, Projects, Subsurface & Wells, Crisis Management, Renewables, and Refining. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing innovative solutions and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality within the geospatial team and across products. - Utilizing geospatial technology for configuration and connectivity, including cameras, handheld devices, AR/VR equipment, sensors, GPS, and drones. - Managing geospatial data effectively, using spatial databases, spatial access methods, coordinate reference systems, image processing, and more. - Conducting geospatial analysis, involving query operations, spatial statistics, data mining, network analysis, and optimization. - Visualizing spatial data through map design, graphic representation techniques, web-based maps, applications, and dashboards. - Handling reality collection data formats, 3D models, and data integration for visualization and analysis, utilizing tools like FME and Databricks. - Demonstrating expertise in data-related technologies/languages such as Python, R, and Java Script, along with proficiency in the ArcGIS Desktop and Enterprise suite of tools. To excel in this role, you should have: - A track record of developing innovative solutions, challenging conventional thinking, and applying data science techniques. - Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical audiences effectively. - The ability to have a business impact on key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement. - A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, coupled with a degree in GIS, Geospatial, Geospatial Survey, Geographic Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
