Job Title: GIS Analyst Experience Required: 01 Year Qualification: B.Tech / B.E Budget: Up to 5 LPA Job Responsibilities: Data Collection and Preparation Support: Gather input data from the data team, ensuring all required files and attributes are present for validation. Assist in initial data validation checks according to business standards, identifying obvious data issues for review. Data Loading and Database Management: Support data loading into the Spatial Database Engine (SDE) under supervision, ensuring correct formatting and georeferencing. Manage basic SDE tasks, including organizing data and checking for load errors. Configuring and Styling Layers in ArcGIS Pro: Assist in configuring and styling data layers in ArcGIS Pro or Geo server to meet business requirements, with guidance on design standards. Perform basic symbology setup and labeling, ensuring data is visually accurate and accessible for end-users. Publishing Layers to ArcGIS Enterprise: Publish basic layers to ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal/Server) with assistance, ensuring layers are functional and accessible. Learn best practices for publishing, including data sharing settings, layer permissions, and simple metadata. Creating and Managing Web Maps: Create and configure web maps and simple web scenes on the ArcGIS Portal based on requirements for styling and visibility. Support basic web map setup, ensuring required layers are included and functioning as expected. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Assist in managing published layers on ArcGIS Portal/Server, ensuring stability and helping troubleshoot simple issues. Monitor data for accessibility and report errors to the team for resolution. Assist in the maintenance and management of spatial databases, ensuring data integrity and adherence to organizational standards Provide technical assistance to team members and stakeholders in using GIS tools and software, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues Work closely with other team members, including GIS developers and project managers, to ensure alignment of GIS efforts with project goals and objectives. Qualifications & Experience: B. Tech / B.E 0-1 Years Required skills: Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal/Server), and SDE or QGIS along with Geo server. Familiarity with data validation principles and basic spatial data formats (e.g., shapefiles, geodatabases). Knowledge of GIS layer styling, symbology, and basic web map creation Soft Skills: Detail-oriented approach to data quality and styling tasks. Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures accurately. Strong communication skills for gathering requirements and reporting issues. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Geoserver and Its Styling and Publishing. Knowledge of Python Scripting in QGIS and ArcGIS Knowledge of Model Builder in ArcGIS, and publishing web tools. We are currently seeking experienced GIS Analysts (3-7 years) with expertise in geospatial data correction, editing, reporting, schema mapping, calibration, and as-builting centerlines for pipelines. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and reliable geographic information systems (GIS) data for our pipeline projects. The primary responsibility of the GIS Analyst will be to analyze, interpret, and manipulate geospatial data to support pipeline operations and decision-making processes. Responsibilities: - Perform geospatial data correction and editing tasks, including reviewing and verifying data accuracy, resolving data inconsistencies, and updating database records as necessary. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret and analyze geospatial data, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. - Generate reports and visualizations using GIS software tools to communicate data findings, trends, and insights to project stakeholders. - Conduct schema mapping exercises to ensure seamless data integration across various GIS platforms and systems. - Assist in data calibration activities, including aligning GIS data with field survey data and addressing discrepancies or inconsistencies. - Support the as-builting process by accurately capturing and incorporating pipeline centerline data, construction updates, and related information into GIS databases. - Collaborate with field personnel, surveyors, and engineers to ensure the accurate representation of pipeline assets and associated geospatial attributes. - Participate in the development and maintenance of GIS data standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure data quality and consistency. - Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies related to GIS analysis and geospatial data management. - Provide training and guidance to other GIS analysts and other team members as needed. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, or a related field. - Proven experience (min of 3 years) as a GIS Analyst, with a focus on geospatial data correction, editing, reporting, schema mapping, calibration, and as-builting for pipelines. - Proficiency in GIS software applications such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or similar platforms. - Strong understanding of geospatial data principles, including spatial analysis, data modeling, and data quality assessment. - Familiarity with pipeline centerline data management and the as-builting process. Solid knowledge of GIS database management, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) procedures. - Experience in generating reports, visualizations, and maps using GIS tools and software. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex geospatial data and provide accurate insights. - Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present findings to stakeholders. - Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, SQL) is a plus. - Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as PODS (Pipeline Open Data Standard) or similar data models, is advantageous.
