An interest in NLP, computer vision, or predictive analytics in a GIS context will be advantageous. For qualifications, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Geographic Information Systems, or related fields is required, while a Master's degree is a plus.
