As an Avionics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing avionics systems for spacecraft. Your role will involve developing avionics hardware, including schematic design and PCB layout, as well as performing circuit design, analysis, and simulation. You will also be required to develop and deploy software in embedded environments using programming languages such as C/C++ and Python. Additionally, you will utilize scripting tools and automation techniques for avionics system development and conduct various testing methodologies such as software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and vehicle-in-the-loop testing. In this role, you will be responsible for performing environmental design testing, including heat, vibration, and shock assessments, and working with communication systems for spacecraft applications. Ensuring compliance with avionics and spacecraft system regulations will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, along with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in relevant or related work. You should have strong experience in avionics system design, implementation, and testing, as well as hands-on experience with avionics hardware development and PCB layout. Proficiency in circuit design, analysis tools, and simulation techniques is essential, along with expertise in embedded system programming and automation using C/C++ and Python. Familiarity with advanced testing methodologies, environmental testing, spacecraft communication systems, and avionics regulations is also required. Preferred qualifications for this role include experience in working with space industry standards and compliance regulations, as well as knowledge of advanced avionics control systems and automation.
