Utilize your knowledge to process and manage the company's fixed assets portfolio and ensure accurate accounting records for specific financial accounts within the company. You will be responsible for various essential duties, including but not limited to: - Relevant experience in Fixed Asset accounting & General Accounting. - End to End Record to Report experience. - Timely capitalization and asset acquisitions, asset retirement, account reconciliations, journal entries, adjustments, and month-end closing activities. - Accurate tracking of existing fixed assets, depreciation verification, and preparation of Fixed assets roll-forward. - Compliance with fixed assets schedule, asset tagging, recording of movements in FAR, and monthly close R2R process activities. - Qualitative variance analysis for monthly, quarterly, and yearly P&L and BS movements. - Ensuring compliance with SOX/internal control/statutory guidelines. - Clerical bookkeeping and accounting tasks, preparation of financial and/or technical reports, and maintenance of accounting records. - Month-End Close functions, managing financial journal entries, account reconciliations, and fixed assets transactions. - Reviewing and completing fixed asset transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures. Qualifications: - Education: B.com, M.com, MBA, or CA Intermediate. - Experience: 6 months to 8 years in General Accounting & R2R. - Additional Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and previous experience in a shared services environment are preferable. - Willingness to work in any business shift Fixed and rotational, Day or Night shifts hours. They are currently looking for a skilled individual to join their team in the role of Fixed Assets Accountant. As a Fixed Assets Accountant at Waste Management, you will be responsible for managing the company's fixed assets portfolio and ensuring accurate accounting records for specific financial accounts. Your duties will include timely capitalization and asset acquisitions, asset retirement, account reconciliations, journal entries, adjustments, depreciation tracking, compliance with fixed assets schedules, asset tagging, and movement recording.
