Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with 56 years of experience in merchant onboarding within the payment gateway or fintech industry. The role involves end-to-end onboarding of merchants, ensuring compliance, documentation, coordination with internal stakeholders, and delivering a seamless experience to the clients. Key Responsibilities: Merchant Onboarding & Activation: Handle the end-to-end onboarding process for new merchants across various verticals. Coordinate with Sales, Legal, Risk, and Technology teams for smooth merchant activation. Ensure timely processing of onboarding requests in line with SLAs. Documentation & Compliance: Verify KYC documents, business registration certificates, bank account details, and other necessary compliance documents. Ensure all merchants are compliant with RBI guidelines, KYC/AML policies, and internal onboarding standards. Technical Coordination: Liaise with the tech team to facilitate API integration and sandbox/live environment setup for merchants. Assist merchants with UAT and initial transactions post-go-live. Process Improvement & Reporting: Identify bottlenecks in onboarding processes and contribute to automation/improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate reports on onboarding metrics, TAT, and merchant feedback. Stakeholder Management: Act as a point of contact for post-sales onboarding queries from merchants. Engage regularly with business development teams to ensure alignment on merchant requirements and onboarding pipeline. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in any discipline; MBA preferred. 56 years of relevant experience in merchant onboarding in a payment gateway, fintech, or digital payments company. Familiarity with payment gateway platforms, merchant documentation, KYC norms, and RBI guidelines. Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams. Hands-on experience in handling tech integration and ticketing systems. High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability. Preferred Skills: Experience in onboarding merchants in Fintech based businesses. Understanding of fraud/risk checks and settlement processes. Exposure to tools like Salesforce, Postman, Excel automation, and dashboards.
