The Chief Sound Expert is responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining high-quality sound systems for theatres, events, homes, and commercial spaces . This role involves conducting acoustic assessments, recommending tailored solutions, and ensuring the best audio experience for various environments. Additionally, the expert will provide training to staff and customers, ensuring proper system setup and usage. Key Responsibilities: Sound System Design & Optimization: Design and configure audio systems for theatres, auditoriums, concert venues, events, and residential spaces. Ensure optimal sound quality, clarity, and balance across different environments Select and integrate speakers, amplifiers, mixers, and digital audio processors based on project requirements Calibrate systems for surround sound (Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, etc.) and stereo configurations Acoustic Assessment & Solution Implementation: Perform acoustic evaluations to identify issues like echoes, distortions, and reverberations. Recommend soundproofing, acoustic panels, and digital signal processing (DSP) adjustments for better sound quality Work with architects and interior designers to ensure proper room acoustics. Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve audio system malfunctions and connectivity issues Maintain sound equipment, wiring, and software configurations to prevent failures Provide remote and on-site technical support for client Training & Customer Assistance: Train technicians, event staff, and customers on proper sound system setup and operation. Develop training manuals and user guides for easy troubleshooting and maintenance. Conduct live demos and workshops on sound optimization techniques. Research & Innovation: Stay updated on emerging audio technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Recommend and implement new sound technologies, Dolby updates, and AI-driven audio enhancements Test and evaluate new audio equipment before recommending it to clients. Desired profile: Deep expertise in audio systems, sound engineering, and acoustics Strong knowledge of Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, THX, and surround sound setups Experience in designing and tuning professional sound systems Understanding of audio signal flow, mixing consoles, amplifiers, and DSP processors Ability to conduct acoustic measurements and optimize audio performance Technical troubleshooting skills to resolve sound system issues Strong communication skills to train and assist staff and clients.
