You will be responsible for analyzing production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements. Developing reports on manufacturing performance, including efficiency, yield, rejection rates, and downtime analysis will be a key aspect of your role. Your insights and recommendations will play a crucial role in enhancing productivity, cost savings, and operational efficiency. In this position, you will track quality control metrics and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and industry regulations. Investigating process deviations, identifying root causes, and proposing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will assist in the review and improvement of SOPs, policies, and regulatory documentation. Monitoring production workflows to ensure alignment with efficiency and quality targets will be essential. Collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams to track machine performance, calibration, and validation is also a significant aspect of the role. Developing dashboards and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing processes will be part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to analyze material flow and usage data to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste. Ensuring the availability of raw materials and semi-finished goods for production continuity is vital. Working closely with various teams such as Production, QA, QC, Supply Chain, and Engineering to align strategies and improve overall plant efficiency will also be required. Supporting production planning efforts by providing data-driven insights on capacity, demand forecasting, and resource allocation is crucial. Monitoring safety data and analyzing trends in workplace incidents to support safety improvement initiatives is also part of the role. Ensuring compliance with cleanroom protocols, environmental standards, and microbial control measures will be essential. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen projects is expected. Analyzing customer complaints and market feedback, collaborating with the quality team to identify patterns, and suggesting improvements are also important tasks. You will prepare reports and presentations on manufacturing performance, deviations, and efficiency improvements. Proper documentation and compliance with industry standards will be a core responsibility. You will support any additional tasks assigned by the Senior Manager of Production and Technical or senior management. Majara Dairy Farm (MDF) operates from village Majara on Ludhiana / Sangrur district borders, about 8 km from Mandi Ahmedgarh. With approximately 2600 livestock, MDF is the largest dairy farm operator in Punjab and one of the largest in India. MDF started operations in 2009 with the prime objective of producing the cleanest milk possible from a disease-free herd while developing relations with farmers for the cultivation of animal fodder. The management of MDF subscribes to the same industry vision and aims to act as a catalyst for large farm set-up and growth in India. MDF is seeking an experienced Operations Manager who can take nodal responsibility for all aspects of dairy farm operations. The Operations Manager will report to the Managing Director and work closely with Senior Management to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the organization and deliver the best results. The position will nurture relationships with prospective talent, manage relationships, and ensure smooth financial and operational functions for the company. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing India's largest Dairy Farm, overseeing the P&L of integrated dairy operations, and improving the profitability of the plant. They will also handle the operations of procurement of fodder for making silage, plan budgets for procurement of fodder and animal medicine, manage a team that handles multiple dairy farms, ensure highest standards of milk processing, present new milk products to increase revenue, oversee dispatch of goods into the market, maintain plant and machinery, and coordinate security and facilities management. Additionally, the Operations Manager will proactively implement disease control plans, collaborate with the farm team and other departments to ensure protocol implementation, prepare and manage operational budgets, improve existing SOPs, minimize the risk of exposure to infectious agents, achieve operational and financial performance targets, liaise with internal and external agencies, implement best practices for quality milk production, support the senior management team in delivery of programming, and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. They will also ensure compliance with licenses, health, and safety protocols, advise management on corporate services, financial management, and technical cooperation, and provide regular training and development for staff.
