You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our supply chain operations as a Demand Planner for our fast-growing D2C brand in the sustainable baby care sector. Your primary responsibilities will involve optimizing inventory planning, ensuring stock availability during peak demand periods, and effectively managing the product lifecycle. By working closely with the sales and marketing teams, you will analyze historical sales data to forecast demand accurately and integrate commercial insights. Utilizing your expertise in advanced Excel, you will conduct inventory analysis, planning, and tracking to maintain optimal inventory levels without overstocking or facing stockouts. It will be crucial for you to manage warehouse inventory efficiently, including both products and packaging materials, to meet forecasted demands while minimizing excess stock. Moreover, you will be responsible for liquidating slow-moving or obsolete stock strategically to improve inventory turnover and cash flow. Monitoring and optimizing key metrics such as Order Fill Rate for B2B channels and Category-wise Stock in Hand (SIH) will be essential aspects of your role. You will also coordinate monthly S&OP meetings to facilitate effective communication of planning updates with supply and production teams. By tracking forecast accuracy and bias metrics at a national level, you will continuously strive to enhance forecasting accuracy. To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, or Inventory Management, with a preference for backgrounds in retail or consumer goods. Your proficiency in advanced Excel functions, along with in-depth knowledge of inventory management practices, will be critical for success. Strong analytical skills, proactive problems-solving abilities, and experience in cross-functional collaboration will also set you up for success in this position. Ideally, you hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related fields, and have industry knowledge in retail or consumer goods. Your familiarity with S&OP processes and experience in managing demand planning cycles will be advantageous in fulfilling the requirements of this role.
