The Application Security Lead is responsible for identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities in the organization's software applications. You will be conducting security code reviews, implementing security testing methodologies, and collaborating with development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Your key responsibilities will include conducting application security assessments, code reviews, and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities. You will also be integrating security tools like SonarQube and Synk into the CI/CD pipeline, as well as collaborating with development teams to address security issues and promote secure coding practices. Additionally, you will be developing and maintaining security documentation, providing security training, and staying updated on emerging security threats. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field, along with 4+ years of experience in application security or related areas. You should be familiar with common security vulnerabilities, have experience with security tools, and possess knowledge of secure coding practices and encryption technologies. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.
