Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sheet metal engineering, incorporating relevant innovations into design practices. Develop and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, testing procedures, and manufacturing process instructions. Qualifications Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sheet metal design and fabrication, including a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects. CAD Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks, particularly in the sheet metal module, including advanced features like bending, laser cutting, and weldments. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes (bending, welding, laser cutting, etc.), material properties, and their impact on design. Analytical Skills: Experience with FEA and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS) for design validation and optimization. Problem-solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex engineering problems, devise innovative solutions, and troubleshoot design-related issues. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences. Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment, adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
