Job Responsibilities: Design & Drafting: Create 3D parts and assemblies for 2D drawings, layouts, and dimensioned assembly and part drawings as per company, industry, and customer standards. Work on steel vessels, blowers, heat exchangers, and associated piping . Piping & Standards: Extensive experience in designing piping P&ID drawings, pipe routing, valves, instruments, and adherence to ASME 31.3 and B16.5 flanges . Engineering Standards: Must be able to work with US engineering standards and ISO metric measurements . CAD Software Operation: Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Plant 3D to create accurate drawings and models. Ability to visualize 3D finished products in a 2D drafting environment . Dimensioning & Annotation: Include dimensions, annotations, and BOMs in drawings for manufacturing and assembly reference. Collaboration: Work closely with designers, sales, production, and customers to ensure designs meet customer requirements . Communicate effectively via email, Teams, and phone . Revision Management: Track and update design changes and revisions as needed. Quality Assurance: Verify accuracy and completeness of drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Train as a backup for design review QC processes . File Management: Maintain and organize CAD files using proper naming conventions and version control. Training & Development: Stay updated with the latest CAD software features and automations to enhance skills and productivity. Qualifications & Technical Skills : B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or related field). Certified SolidWorks Professional . Certified in AutoCAD Plant 3D & P&ID . Degree in Drafting Technology (preferred). Strong understanding of ASME Print Reading and GD&T Fundamentals . Proficiency in 2D and 3D conceptual design visualization using templates, standard, and custom hardware. Experience in SolidWorks and multi-part assembly design (4+ years preferred). Strong quality control review skills. Mechanical aptitude for designing intermediate to complex multi-part assemblies. Computer proficiency and understanding of file systems. Experience working with metal fabricators and welding (preferred). Personal Qualities: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks. Professional demeanor and respectful communication, both in-person and online. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality"do it right the first time." Honest and clear communicator. Reliable and dependable Positive Attitude, Team Player Flexible and willing to assist others as their needs and tasks change. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working Conditions: May require prolonged sitting for extended periods. Flexible scheduling to accommodate workflow and maintain team balance.
