Qualifications & Skills 1. CAD Software Proficiency : UGNX, SolidWorks, etc. 2. Engineering Analysis Conduct basic stress, strain, and thermal analysis to validate designs (using tools like ANSYS or manual calculations). Optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability. Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and material selection. 3. Prototype Development & Testing Collaborate with prototyping teams or vendors to build physical models. Support product testing (mechanical durability, thermal performance, etc.) and iterate based on test results. Document test plans, results, and design changes. 4. Manufacturing Support Ensure designs are feasible for machining, fabrication, or 3D printing. Work with suppliers and production teams to ensure the design can be manufactured efficiently. Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. 5.
