The Data Governance Office (DGO) is an enterprise function of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). The objective of our function is to set, and enable businesses and internal functions to meet, minimum standards for data governance and data resilience, so that LSEG produces trusted data for its products and services, externally and internally. The DGO is responsible for the data governance policy framework and for the provision and support of centralised tools including data cataloguing and lineage and integration with divisional systems. The DGO collaborates closely with divisional Chief Data Officers who are responsible for driving implementation of the Policy across their respective businesses and internal functions through adoption of centralised and divisional tooling. The Metadata Specialist will be a key member of the Data Governance Office (DGO), responsible for managing and enhancing metadata quality, ensuring compliance with data governance standards, and supporting the implementation of data governance tools such as Collibra and Solidatus. This role will involve collaboration with various departments to ensure effective data governance practices and continuous improvement of metadata management. Key Responsibilities: - Metadata Management: Oversee the management and quality assurance of metadata across the organization. Ensure that metadata is accurate, consistent, and up-to-date. - Tooling Support: Provide support for data governance tools, including Collibra and Solidatus. This includes managing change initiatives, providing SME input, and ensuring effective integration with other systems. - Training and Support: Develop and deliver training programs for users of data governance tools. Provide ongoing support and assistance to ensure proper use and adoption of these tools. - Operational Efficiency: Monitor and maintain data governance tools, handle network issues, manage access controls, and ensure metadata quality assurance. - Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the Data Governance Office (DGO) and other departments to ensure alignment of data governance practices and standards. - Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to strategic initiatives such as enhancing metadata quality assurance, expanding validation rule-sets, and integrating new features and functionalities. - Business Analysis: Analyze end-user and stakeholder requests in the context of data governance tooling and define functional solutions. - Agile Practices: Participate in Agile-based planning and prioritization of deliverables. Maintain JIRA tickets to provide transparency into deliverables and support the team's Agile practices. Skills & Experience: - Technical Expertise: Knowledge and experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Solidatus, and Power BI. Understanding of business process design and concepts. - Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail. - Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage, influence, and provide transparency to stakeholders at varying levels and across functions. - Collaboration: Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment. - Agile Methodologies: Knowledge and experience with Agile practices and the software development lifecycle. The Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime (CAFC) Data Office is responsible for Data Governance and Management across key functions including AFC, Compliance, and Legal. The team supports these functions in establishing and improving data governance to achieve critical business outcomes such as effective control operation, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The CAFC Data Governance and Management team implements Deutsche Banks Enterprise Data Management Framework focusing on controls, culture, and capabilities to drive improved data quality, reduce audit and regulatory findings, and strengthen controls. As a member of the Divisional Data Office, the role holder will support both Run-the-Bank and Change-the-Bank initiatives, with a particular focus on Financial Crime Risk Assessment (FCRA) data collation, processing, testing, and automation. Your key responsibilities Document and maintain existing and new processes; respond to internal and external audit queries and communicate updates clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Independently manage the FCRA data collection process across multiple metrics, including template generation, data collection, quality checks, and stakeholder escalation. Perform variance analysis and develop a deep understanding of underlying data sources used in Financial Crime Risk Assessment. Collaborate with TDI on new releases and ensure new data sources align with Deutsche Banks Data Governance standards. Maintain metadata in Collibra, visualize data lineage in Solidatus, and ensure certification and control coverage. Automate manual data processes using tools such as Python, SQL, and Power Query to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk. Translate complex technical issues into simple, actionable insights for business stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Your skills and experience 6+ years of experience in data management within financial services, with a strong understanding of data risks and controls. Familiarity with industry-standard frameworks such as DCAM or DAMA (certification preferred). Hands-on experience with Data cataloguing using Collibra, Data lineage documentation using Solidatus and Data control assessment and monitoring Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Power Query for data analysis and automation. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
