Job Title Draughtsmans (Project PU) Group Pressure part Group Years of exp – 2-5 Years Qualification -M-Tech/BE/B-Tech/Diploma (Mechanical) Roles and Responsibility Layout Preparation & Detailing Prepare and detail optimized 2D and 3D layout drawings for boilers, heaters , and a pressure part. Apply modular design concepts to create efficient, consistent layouts suitable for diverse site and client requirements. Design & Drafting Standards Ensure drawings comply with industry standards including ASME, IBR, and applicable statutory and safety norms. Develop standardized design practices to maintain uniformity across multiple projects and ensure compatibility. Vendor Coordination & Drawing Review Coordinate with vendors for Fuel Handling Systems (FHS), Ash Handling Systems (AHS), and other subsystems. Review and verify vendor drawings to ensure alignment with overall layout and design specifications. Documentation & System Utilization Use PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ERP systems for Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, drawing release, and component documentation. Maintain accurate documentation for internal teams and customer deliverables. Quality Check & Self-Verification Conduct self-checks and first-level verification of all drawings before final release. Identify and correct errors to ensure zero-defect drawing outputs. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support Work in close coordination with engineering leads, project managers, site execution teams, and the material planning team. Provide drawing-related support throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely and efficient execution. Technical Skills Knowledge of Boiler and Heater Pressure Part Design , Understanding of IBR and ASME Code Requirements, Proficiency in Reviewing P&IDs and GATPs , Knowledge of Material Selection Standards like IS, ASTM, BS, and EN, Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD Tools , Understanding of BOM and Drawing Release Processes, Knowledge of Pressure Part Calculations and Component Sizing, Familiarity with Vendor Documentation and Approval Practices
