Qualified candidates should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field, along with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in a technical support role. Technical skills required include proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting computers, networking equipment, and/or laboratory equipment, knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and basic networking concepts, familiarity with lab safety procedures and technical documentation, and hands-on experience with software/hardware. Soft skills like strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to technical challenges, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Additional requirements include certifications in relevant technical areas (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA, etc.) being a plus, and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
