Software Test Engineer (QA Manual & Automation)

What You'll Do

• Execute manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory) for web and mobile applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain basic automation scripts for UI and API testing using Selenium, Postman, and TestNG.
• Create and maintain detailed test cases, test data, and test reports.
• Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA or similar tools; collaborate with developers to ensure timely fixes.
• Conduct API testing and validate response accuracy and data consistency.
• Perform database validation through SQL queries to ensure data integrity.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA reviews as part of an Agile/Scrum team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation coverage.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and the SDLC/STLC process.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, and Postman (RestAssured is a plus).
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA or ClickUp.
• Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries for backend validation.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn automation frameworks and testing tools.
