Software Test Engineer

Your core responsibilities will involve designing and developing efficient, scalable, and maintainable automated test scripts using Selenium/Cypress and Java/Python/C#/Javascript. You will collaborate with software development teams to understand project requirements and develop appropriate automation strategies. Thorough analysis of software applications to identify areas for automation, executing automated tests, and troubleshooting and debugging test failures are crucial aspects of your role. Implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing, staying updated with industry trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize test cases for automation are also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, developing and maintaining test data and test environments, monitoring and reporting test results, metrics, and defects, and contributing to the improvement of testing processes and best practices are key tasks. To qualify for this role, you should have 2 to 6 years of proven work experience as an Automation Engineer or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver/Cypress and Java/Python/C#/Javascript programming, in-depth understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and practices, solid knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools, experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira), familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently, strong organizational and time management skills, a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and tools are essential skills. Qualifications for this position include a B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, MCA, or related field, experience with other test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Cucumber, TestNG, TestCafe, Playwright), knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs, familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies, knowledge of database systems and SQL, and certifications related to software testing and test automation.,
