About the Role: As a Software Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of testing tasks with increased autonomy. Your role will involve participating in the design of test cases, their execution, and the subsequent reporting on their effectiveness. Your contributions will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions, thereby establishing you as an indispensable team member in our quality assurance initiatives. Responsibilities: - Design and implement automated test cases based on software requirements. - Execute and analyze automated test results, documenting defects as required. - Collaborate closely with developers and QA team members to enhance testing strategies. - Maintain and enhance existing test scripts for better accuracy and coverage. - Assist in the integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. - Engage in test case reviews and offer valuable feedback. - Conduct basic performance and load testing activities. - Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving automation issues. - Contribute to the creation and upkeep of test plans and test cases. - Offer insights for enhancing test automation frameworks and tools. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field Skills and Experience: - Possess 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing quality assurance standards for software testing. - Proficiency in programming languages like JavaScript. - Knowledgeable in Test Automation Frameworks such as Selenium/Playwright/Cypress. - Understanding of CI/CD Integration and experience in integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins). - Basic skills in Performance Testing. - Effective utilization of bug tracking and management tools (e.g., JIRA) for Defect Management. - Strong analytical skills to analyze and interpret test results. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proven ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
