Software Technologist

A highly skilled Backend Developer with strong experience in building scalable APIs and services, along with a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems while ensuring seamless integration with cloud-native services.


Your role:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.

  • Write clean, testable, and efficient code in languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.

  • Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features.

  • Work with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, etc.) to build and deploy applications.

  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, etc.).

  • Ensure application security, performance, and reliability.

  • Manage and optimize infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and monitor applications in production environments.

  • Contribute to architecture discussions and propose solutions aligned with best practices.


You're the right fit if:

  • 5+ years of backend development experience

  • Strong knowledge of server-side programming (Node.js, Python, or Java).

  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or gRPC.

  • Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure & services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.).

  • Familiarity with cloud-native application design and event-driven architecture.

  • Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).

  • Knowledge of authentication & authorization (OAuth2, JWT, Cognito, IAM).

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies (Blue/Green, Canary).

  • Proficiency in using IaC tools (Terraform / CloudFormation).

  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with microservices architecture.

  • Exposure to containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).

  • Knowledge of observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

  • Familiarity with serverless frameworks.

  • Understanding of DevOps/SRE practices.

  • AWS Certifications such as:

  • AWS Certified Developer u2013 Associate

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect u2013 Associate/Professional

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer u2013 Professional
